Fun card game for kids that also gets them to do a little math
Super fun new card game created by my 6 year old:
HAPPY JACKS
Object of game: Collect the highest cards and have the highest points at the end of the game
Scoring:
Jacks = 13 points
Jokers = 12 points (play with these or not, it's up to you)
Kings = 11 points
Queens = 10 points
Tens = 9 points
(you can change the score value of each card value to match the math skills of your child)
1. Each player starts with 5 cards
2. Put the remaining cards face down and flip the top card over.
The object is to get rid of all of your low cards, you can keep the card the other player puts down or choose from the deck.
3. You are allowed to keep all of the face cards, jokers, or tens that you collect, you discard all the others as you collect face cards and 10s and jokers.
4. At the end of the game, you compare what you have with the other player/s and add up the score as stated above. The person with the high score wins.
It is a fun, fast, and easy game that encourages your little one to do a little math too!!
